SUMMARY:Kick-off event of the project “WORTplus”
DESCRIPTION:With the kick-off event of the WORTplus project, Schmalkalden U
 niversity of Applied Sciences sends a clear signal for sustainable knowledg
 e transfer between academia, practice, and public administration. The event
  marks the official start of the project in 2026 and represents the startin
 g point for close, strategically aligned cooperation among all participatin
 g stakeholders.\n\nThe event will take place on Tuesday, 10 February 2026, 
 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at Schmalkalden University of Applied Sciences, Blec
 hhammer 9, 98574 Schmalkalden, Building H, Room H0103.\n\nAt the heart of t
 he kick-off event is the presentation of the WORTplus project, including it
 s objectives, planned areas of work, and transfer approaches. The event wil
 l highlight how academic expertise, university structures, and practical ex
 perience from business, public administration, and civil society are to be 
 systematically interconnected. The aim is to establish sustainable cooperat
 ion structures, initiate innovation processes, and strengthen the long-term
  transfer of knowledge, methods, and results into practice.\n\nThe event al
 so serves as a platform for networking and exchange: project participants, 
 funding bodies, cooperation partners, and other stakeholders will come toge
 ther to develop shared perspectives, identify interfaces, and jointly refin
 e the strategic orientation of the project.\n\nThe program will open with w
 elcoming addresses by high-ranking representatives from politics, public ad
 ministration, and practice, including the Mayor of the City of Schmalkalden
  as well as representatives of the Thuringian Ministry of Social Affairs an
 d WORTplus partner organizations. A further contribution by the cooperation
  partner Interculture e. V. will provide an overview of the WORT initiative
 s in Thuringia.\n\nThe kick-off event is aimed at project participants, coo
 peration partners, funding bodies, and other interested stakeholders from a
 cademia, practice, and public administration who are interested in knowledg
 e transfer, cooperation, openness, and innovative project approaches.\n\nRe
