Studying Mobile Computing in Schmalkalden

Currently, the mobile revolution is influencing many areas of the German industry. Technologies like the Internet of Things and initiatives like Industry 4.0 change the way of how we produce and distribute products. With a bachelor degree in Mobile Computing you will be ready for an interesting and successful career as an IT expert and software developer in this new and dynamic area of informatics. In the course of the Mobile Computing studies, you will gain basic knowledge and practice-relevant skills which will allow you a successful start into your career in the industry after only a short study duration.

During the Bachelor studies in Mobile Computing, you will learn the traditional basics of informatics so that your subsequent skills and qualifications have a solid conceptual basis. In the course of study, you will gain focussed insights into developing mobile and distributed applications. These include programming of mobile applications as well as wireless communication and processing of sensor data. Of course you will also cover various aspects of IT security in detail. Thus, the programme creates a link between the traditional basics of informatics and the innovative subjects of the mobile revolution. You will gain broad expert knowledge with an up-to-date and innovative specialisation.
