University sports

Schmalkalden University of Applied Sciences offers all sports-mad students and staff a wide range of sports facilities. There is a basketball court, a beach volleyball court and a football pitch on campus. Registration for courses takes place at the beginning of each semester via StudIP. Participation in university sports is free of charge for students. However, courses organised by external parties might come with a membership fee for the organizing party. Schmalympics

The Schmalympic Games at Schmalkalden University of Applied Sciences are undoubtedly a sporting highlight of the year. During this event, students, professors, and staff compete against each other in various sports. In addition, a diverse cultural programme on the campus of the university ensures a good atmosphere.
