International activities

The internationalisation of teaching and research plays an important role at Schmalkalden University of Applied Sciences. The exchange, recruitment and retention of international students are central concerns in this regard, along with measures to promote lecturer mobility and international research cooperation. All measures are in line with the university's overarching internationalisation strategy, which is reflected in faculty-specific measures and approaches.

International partners and students are very welcome at Schmalkalden University of Applied Sciences. Numerous English-language subject-specific courses are offered especially for them, both in the faculties and within the framework of the Centre for Cross-Faculty Learning (CCFL). In addition, there are changing offers of study-related and preparatory German courses, international summer schools and intensive programmes.

Members of Schmalkalden University of Applied Sciences have numerous options available to them for completing study, research, teaching or experience-related stays abroad of varying lengths. To this end, the university has an established network of around 150 partner universities around the world.
