Strategy

"Internationalisation" is a key concept of Schmalkalden University of Applied Sciences. All measures are taken according to the university’s internationalisation strategy, which includes among others faculty-specific activities and approaches. In 2019 and 2020, as part of a deliberate and multi-stage strategy process, the International Relations commission developed an over-arching internationalisation strategy for the years 2021 to 2025. In April 2021, it was approved by the Presidential Board and the Senate. Following on from the internationalisation strategy, the Senate adopted the strategy "Retaining Professionals Internationally" in December 2021. Also included within the strategy, a reference is made to the ERASMUS+ Policy Statement, showcasing the university’s orientation towards its multiple ERASMUS+ projects.

For implementation, monitoring, and further development of the strategy, the responsibility lies with the Head of the Department of Studies and International Relations, Dr Marcus Hornung.
