Every year there is an extensive cultural and entertainment schedule. This takes place during breaks between lectures or as a separate event. Wednesday, in particular, is traditionally a particularly busy day with company visits, some activity such as guided tours of a city or a Christmas market visit and concluding, usually with a Christmas dinner in a rustic setting.
