Reference management with Citavi

Schmalkalden University of Applied Sciences has licensed Citavi for Windows 7 and Citavi Web.
Citavi is a reference management software. You can get an overview of the features on the software provider's page.
Schmalkalden University has licensed Citavi for Windows 7 and Citavi Web. University members may use the software free of charge within the scope of the licence conditions.
Citavi for Windows is a desktop application for Microsoft Windows operating systems.
Installation
- Uninstall older Citavi versions if necessary. Your existing projects and settings will not be affected.
- Request your Citavi licence.
- Download the installation files.
- Install Citavi.
- In addition, you can import the Citavi settings file (zip-file). This will set the library catalogue of the Cellarius University Library as the preferred catalogue. The import of the file is described in this manual.
Citavi Web is a browser-based, operating system independent software. Your files are stored online in the Citavi Cloud.
Currently, it is not recommended to edit files created with Citavi for Windows in Citavi Web.

- If you do not already have one: Request your Citavi licence.
- Log in to Citavi Web.
