Cooperation project Energy and material-efficient production processes for organic plastics

Subject of research

The aim of the project is to optimize emissions when using plastics through the use of natural fibres. The investigation of energy and material efficiency in the processing methods of injection molding and extrusion through data analysis and the application of machine learning methods. The utility value analysis of biogenic plastics in the joining processes of bonding with metals and screw connections with a focus on material efficiency.

Results

  • Optimization of the injection molding process with regard to energy efficiency
  • Characterization of extrusion process with biogenic plastics
  • Development of bonding processes for biogenic plastics
  • Characterization and development of material-efficient screw connections
