WORT-Meeting Centre

Good coffee as a bridge for encounter

Over a good cup of coffee, people can meet and talk to each other in a natural way. The meeting centre will regularly host varying formats such as storytelling cafés, vision meetings and future workshops. The idea is for everyone to meet at eye level and for these horizon-expanding encounters to provide deeper insights into everyone's experiences and adventures.

There is more behind the Meeting centre than just the Schmalkalden University of Applied Sciences.

The meeting centre is the result of close cooperation between Schmalkalden University of Applied Sciences, BUKS e.V. (Bunte Kultur Schmalkalden) and the town of Schmalkalden. The BUKS e.V. is responsible for running the café as well as designing and implementing participatory event formats. Schmalkalden University of Applied Sciences supports the conception, implementation and follow-up of these participatory events. The town of Schmalkalden is particularly interested in international students, professionals and residents settling in and feeling at home in the town and the region and supports the project through financial contributions anchored in the town budget.

YOU can also support the meeting centre.

In the long term, the meeting centre will provide an area where people can implement their own forms of encounter. If you are interested in participating in the meeting centre, you are welcome to contact BUKS e.V.
