15th International Engineering Week 2025

This year’s International Engineering Week will be held from December 1st to December 5th, 2025, featuring a series of engaging English-language lectures, delivered by international professors. Bachelor students of the Electrical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering faculties can earn 2.5 ECTS points by taking an exam at the end of the week and paasing it. A special workshop with international participants will be offered to all master students on Thursday.

In addition to the lectures, a variety of social activities is planned, including a barbecue, a company tour at the train factory in Meiningen and its corresponding museum, a reception from the mayor, along with a visit to the Christmas market to enjoy “Glühwein“ (traditional German mulled wine) together. Other highlights include a dinner at the restaurant “Schlossstuben” in Meiningen (everyone pays individually), our beloved coffee breaks and two talkshows. 

This year we also have the honour of a hosting the opening of the 15th anniversary celebration of our ppartnership with the Technical Universitiy of Gabrovo.

This exclusive event is free of charge, although the optional Barbeque dinner costs €5,00, payable during in-person registration.

Online registration for the 15th IEW is open until November 23th on StudIP. In-person registration will be available in the cafeteria from November 24th to November 28th. Participants will receive the event schedule by email in advance.
