14th International Engineering Week 2024

This year’s International Engineering Week will be held from December 2nd to December 6th, 2024, featuring a series of engaging English-language lectures delivered by international professors. Bachelor students in the Electrical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering faculties can earn 2.5 ECTS points by taking an exam at the end of the week, and a special workshop with international participants will be offered to all master students.

In addition to the lectures, a variety of social activities is planned, including a barbecue, a company tour at Sandvik Tooling Supply,a reception with the mayor, along with a visit to the Christmas market to enjoy “Glühwein“ (traditional German mulled wine) together. Other highlights include an Indian themed party with authentic Indian food and interactive workshops hosted by the Student Research Center. This year’s special guest will be Prof. Dr. Eberhard Manske from TU Ilmenau, a world-renowned expert in precision drive systems. In his keynote speech, he will share fascinating insights into his work and provide musical accompaniment on his laser harp during the “Opening Ceremony.”

This exclusive event is free of charge, although the optional Indian dinner costs €15, payable during in-person registration.

Online registration for the 14th IEW is open until November 19th on StudIP. In-person registration will be available in the cafeteria from November 20th to November 24th. Participants will receive the event schedule by email in advance.
