Pursuant to § 199a SGB V, there is a mutual duty of notification regarding health insurance between health insurance funds and universities. The notification is conducted electronically from 2022 onwards.
No later than at the time of enrolment, we require an electronic notification of your insurance status from your health insurance company. Please contact your health insurance company so that they can send us the required notification electronically. No enrolment is possible without this notification!
Students who are already enrolled do not have to pay any attention to the change for the time being. The changeover will only affect you as soon as, for example, you change your health insurance provider.
Students who change their health insurance
If you change your health insurance provider, we require an electronic notification of the change issued by your new provider. Please contact your health insurance company so that they can send us the required notification electronically.
Students who are privately insured
You need to contact any statutory health insurance provider, which will prove your private insurance and then notify us electronically about the existence of a valid insurance.
