The use of the library is regulated in the library regulations.
Lockers

Jackets and coats, any bags, umbrellas and other luggage may not be taken into the library. Please use the lockers in the entrance area. (Locker deposit: 1€)

The lockers must be emptied when leaving the library.

After the library closes, lockers that are still occupied will be cleared and the contents treated as lost property. The library accepts no liability for jackets, coats, bags etc. that are not properly locked away.
Bringing your own and borrowed materials into the library
- You must show your own books and those already borrowed, as well as file folders, at the Infopoint when entering and leaving the library.
Eating and drinking, smoking, bringing animals with you
Eating, drinking (exception: water in transparent plastic bottles) and smoking as well as bringing animals are not permitted in the library.
Stationary computers and mobile devices
- Smartphones are to be set to silent before entering the library.
- Only the desk and wall sockets are to be used to power private notebooks. Opening the floor sockets is not permitted. Headphones, which can be borrowed free of charge from the circulation desk, are to be used without exception for the reproduction of sound.
- The computer workstations in the library are primarily used for obtaining information. In addition to the usage regulations, the provisions of the "Operating and User Regulations for the Campus Network of Schmalkalden University of Applied Sciences (FHS-LAN)" apply.
