Re-registration
If you wish to continue your studies at Schmalkalden University, you must re-register within the stated re-registration period. Re-registration is done by transferring the semester fee as well as other set fees or charges.
Please note that you will not receive a separate confirmation of payment. In the Student and Examination Portal you can, among other things, retrieve and print out your certificate of enrolment. This doubles as the confirmation of your payment.
After successful re-registration, you must update your student ID card "thoska" at the designated validation stations. During validation, the "thoska" is provided with the new date until which it is valid. This process must be repeated every semester.

What happens if you re-register too late or not at all?
If you have not re-registered in time for the coming semester within the re-registration deadline (full payment of the semester fee due), you will be exmatriculated at the end of the current semester. It is possible to re-register for the coming semester by paying a late registration fee. We recommend that you inform yourself about the current semester fee and deadlines on our website.
