The University of Schmalkalden invites all early-career researchers to participate in the 26th Young Researchers Conference on May 20 & 21, 2026, with their own contributions. Submissions can be in the form of a paper or a poster.
Understanding – Explaining – Designing: This triad, which serves as the conference motto, keeps the content orientation open on the one hand, while on the other hand setting a thematic framework that is intended to accentuate the horizons of applicability, topicality, and innovativeness in the submitted projects and approaches.
The call is aimed at doctoral students, research assistants, and master's students and graduates who are pursuing an academic career. Contributions on all topics of application-oriented research can be submitted. We look forward to receiving submissions from various areas of research in:

The conference language is German, but contributions may also be submitted in English.
