Key facts

  • Requirements: outstandic academic degree and proof of English language skills
  • Further needed for your application: CV and personal essay in English

Admission requirements

  • Outstanding academic degree in Business, Management, Economics or related disciplines (Bachelor, Diploma or equivalent degree). You should belong to the best 25% of graduates of your degree program. A confirmational letter from your university would be helpful for us to assess this qualification.
  • Proof of English language ability for non-native speakers: ToEFL minimum score 86 ibT (internet-based) points or IELTS minimum score 6.5.
  • APS certificate for applicants with a degree obtained in China, India or Vietnam

Application process

Each applicant has to apply online. Please note that the application deadline for an intake in:

  • winter term is 15 June
  • summer term is 15 December.

After completion of the online application, please send the following documents by 15 June (application in winter term) and 15 December (application in summer term) at the latest:

  • The pdf-file generated during the online application
  • Your curriculum vitae
  • A copy of your birth certificate or a copy of your passport or identity card
  • Officially certified copy (copies) of your university degree(s) and certified translation(s) into English or German.
  • Your personal essay (in English)
  • One passport photo
  • ToEFL or IELTS certificate (non-native speakers only) 
  • APS certificate for applicants with a degree obtained in China, India or Vietnam

Selection procedure

Examination of the application documents by the head of the study programme or admission committee with regard to:

  • the completeness of the application documents,
  • in the case of a different study programme, at least 50% of the content (90 ECTS) should be in business administration or economics
  • the contents and modules of the previous Bachelor's programme (Verification of a Bachelor degree in Business Administration or Economics)
  • the seriousness of the application for the Master's programme
  • Note conversion table on the basis of the "modified Bavarian formula (if degree is from a university outside of Germany)
  • Examination of the recognition/accreditation of the higher education institution in the host country (if degree is from a university outside of Germany)
  • English Certificate Examination (ToEFL, IELTS)
  • Notification for applicants on admission or rejection in July for an intake in winter term and in January for an intake in summer term each year
