The Career Service at Schmalkalden University of Applied Sciences acts as the central link between study and work. For companies looking for interns or partnership opportunities, for example, the Career Service serves as the first point of contact.
To fulfil our remit, the Career Service regularly organises events covering the following topics:

The organisation of the Schmalkalden University of Applied Sciences Career Fair has emerged as a key initiative in its own right. The portfolio also includes workshops for students, excursions, fireside chats and Career Days.

Network of Thuringian Career Services
Who are we?
The Regional Group is a network of staff members from the career services at Thuringian universities. The career services prepare students for their future careers and serve as points of contact for employers. The Thuringia Regional Group operates under the umbrella of the Career Service Netzwerk Deutschland e.V. (csnd) and is coordinated by the Career Point at Friedrich Schiller University in Jena. The working meetings, which take place several times a year, serve as a forum for professional and collegial exchange.
What does the network do?
1. Promoting networking and the direct exchange of information and experiences among members and external partners.
2. Serving as a community of interest to promote and strengthen the work of career services at Thuringian universities.
3. Enhancing the employability of Thuringian students through information, counseling, and training programs.
4. Planning and implementing joint activities.
