As part of the master’s programs in Mechatronics and Robotics and Mechanical Engineering and Plastics Technology, our students had the opportunity to visit B. Braun Melsungen AG and gain exciting insights into medical technology.
A highlight was the tour of the Medical plant in Pfieffewiesen, where modern infusion devices are manufactured. The students were able to experience firsthand how highly automated production processes, quality management, and innovative manufacturing technologies are implemented in practice. At the visitor center, they also learned interesting facts about the company’s history and B. Braun’s broad product range. Particularly impressive was the company’s evolution from a regional family business into a global medical technology corporation.
The field trip was rounded out by a presentation from Markus Schweinsberg of the Human Resources department: He informed the students about entry-level and career opportunities at B. Braun and highlighted the diverse prospects available, particularly for graduates in mechatronics and robotics.
