Once again this year, Schmalkalden University of Applied Sciences participated in the “THÜRINGENS SÜDEN” corporate run in Oberhof. A total of 4,172 runners and Nordic walkers took part in the event last week, now in its 16th year. Schmalkalden University of Applied Sciences was represented by 14 participants.
On the approximately 4.5-kilometer course, the focus was above all on having fun together through exercise and fostering team spirit. Mathias Eck was particularly fast: With a top time of 17:33 minutes, he placed 33rd in the overall standings. Also participating were Jana Blochberger, Anja Brauns, Lisa Eckhardt, Corinna Endter, Laura Eff, Jan Lucas Herrmann, Lukas Kluge, Paul Kluth, Carl Meffert, Maria Neumann, Michael Hergert, and Antonia Rückemann.
At the corporate run, it’s all about teamwork: Once again, the university team proved that at Schmalkalden University of Applied Sciences, people don’t just study and work together—they also run together, cheering each other on and supporting one another.
