Assertiveness Training for Female Students at SUAS
As part of the “Professorinnenprogramm 2030”, Schmalkalden University of Applied Sciences is offering the “Own Your Space” self-assertion training specifically for female students. The event will take place on two dates: Thursday, June 4, and Monday, June 29, 2026, from 4:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on both occasions.
The focus of this practical training is on situations women may encounter in daily life - for example, on their way home, in public spaces, or in direct contact with others. The goal is to provide participants with greater confidence, clarity, and specific strategies for handling challenging everyday situations.
The content is taught in a practical manner and actively practiced together. In addition, specific attention is given to individual questions, personal experiences, and concrete situations from the students’ lives, so that these can be addressed, discussed, and tested in practice during the training.
The second session is specifically designed to reflect on the experiences from the first training session, to process initial impressions, and to deepen the content learned.
The program is led by violence prevention trainer and judoka Corina Gordzielik from mutig-angstfrei in Erfurt.
Comfortable clothing, sneakers, and a drink are recommended for participation.
Participation is free of charge. Space is limited.
Binding registration must be completed by June 1, 2026, via Stud.IP (https://t1p.de/q31ub) or by e-mail to a.walter(at)hs-sm.de.
Cancellations must be submitted in writing at least 3 days before the event begins.
