Apprenticeship-Integrated Studies Schmalkalden (BISS) – Mechanical Engineering
BISS – „Apprenticeship-Integrated Studies Schmalkalden“ – that is what we call a real success story: practical training in an enterprise, earning money plus scientific work at a university.
The twin-track study programme BISS links a high level of theory with profound hands-on experience. By this combination, students achieve special competence and become demanded specialists in the field of engineering. In comparison to studies at a vocational academy the graduates of the apprenticeship programme receive two fully recognized degrees: a skilled worker qualification plus a master degree.
