Germany Semester Ticket (DST) – All information for students 🎫🚆

You can now conveniently access your Deutschlandticket (DST) via the Central Thuringia Transport Association (VMT) website:

📅 Validity:

The ticket is valid from October 1, 2025, to March 31, 2026.

 

✅ Important changes:

The Germany Semester Ticket is no longer verified via Thoska.

Digital verification: You will receive your ticket via a mobile app and verify it via the app.

Your Thoska is no longer valid as a ticket.

 

🚆 Validity of the Germany Semester Ticket

With the DST, you can travel throughout Germany on:

2nd class local trains (e.g., S-Bahn, RB, RE, IRE)

Buses, trams, and subways of participating transport associations and transport companies

ℹ️ Please note: There may be exceptions, particularly for tourist transport. Please check directly with the respective transport companies.

 

💡 Important note

Once you have activated the DST, the semester fee is non-refundable.
