You have now completed years filled with challenges, experiences and personal development. At the graduation ceremony, we will come together to mark this special milestone and celebrate the successful completion of your studies. Look forward to a festive evening full of encounters, memories and moments that will stay with you. The graduation ceremony for all graduates of the 2025/2026 academic year will take place on 23 October 2026 at the Volkshaus Meiningen.
Registration
All graduates who have successfully completed their degree between 1 October 2025 and 30 September 2026 are eligible to attend. Please register using the online form below. When doing so, please state your faculty, your degree programme and the number of guests you will be bringing.

Live music with Glitter GewitterFollowing the ceremony, you can look forward to a varied selection of food from various street food stalls, as well as a wide range of drinks. Take the opportunity to round off the evening with your families and friends in a relaxed atmosphere.Please note that only cash payments are accepted for food and beverages.
Seats in the front area of the auditorium are reserved for graduates to ensure a smooth and orderly procedure during the ceremony.
The Volkshaus Meiningen offers barrier-free access to the event hall. If you require accessible seating, please let us know during the registration process or in advance.
Please dress in formal attire.
For the formal ceremony, you also have the option of hiring or purchasing an academic gown, including a cap, from our external partner. Further information on this can be found in your invitation letter. If you have any questions regarding gown hire, please contact:

Guests planning to stay overnight will find a wide range of hotels, guesthouses, and holiday accommodations in various price categories. Information on available accommodation can be obtained from the Tourist Information Offices in Meiningen and Schmalkalden.
As many events take place during the autumn season, we recommend booking your accommodation well in advance.
Please note that Schmalkalden University of Applied Sciences does not reserve room contingents and is unable to arrange hotel bookings on behalf of participants.
Private photography is, of course, permitted during the event.
Furthermore, a photographer will be present at the event to capture special moments and the honours bestowed upon all graduates. By registering for the graduation ceremony, you consent to the taking of photographs and video recordings.
In addition, a photo booth with a photo backdrop will be set up in the foyer, giving you the opportunity to take your own souvenir photos.
