The Alumni Association of the Faculty of Computer Science connects graduates of Computer Science and Business Informatics in Schmalkalden with each other and the faculty long-term. The association organizes regular graduate reunions, fosters exchange with companies, brings alumni experiences into curriculum development, and provides financial support to selected projects. With a small annual fee, ALWIN secures sustainable contacts, professional value, and a vibrant alumni community.

Alumni from all graduating classes and programs within the Faculty of Business and Economics (formerly the Department of Economics) are welcome—whether from the traditional Diplom programs (Business Administration and Economics), the Bachelor's programs (International Business and Economics [IBE], Business Administration, Economics, or Business Psychology), the Master's programs (IBE and Corporate Management), or certificate courses like Sports Management as well as Tourism & Hospitality.
The Faculty of Mechanical Engineering has maintained close contact with its graduates for many years through regular events and alumni reunions. This networking strengthens the exchange between the university and professional practice, opening up valuable internship and thesis opportunities for current students. Many seminar groups and graduating cohorts meet regularly, visit their old faculty, and stay informed about current developments—some tracking back over 50 years. All graduates are cordially invited to join this lively alumni network and update their contact details.
