During a seven-day study trip, 13 students gained comprehensive insights into socio-cultural and economic structures in Tunisia.

Under the title "EET - Economics and Entrepreneurship Tunisia - An academic summer program focusing on the general conditions of the Tunisian economy, in particular the interplay between agriculture, tourism and the IT sector", the program focused on the sectors of tourism, agriculture and digitalization.

Numerous institutions, business representatives and companies, including the German Embassy in Tunis, the Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit, the German-Tunisian Chamber of Industry and Commerce (AHK), as well as company representatives from Techno-Park Tunis, Nokia Tunis and Ooredoo, provided the scholarship holders with specialist insights into the working world in a different cultural context. Additional seminars at the partner universities TEK-UP University and ESPRIT provided further professional input to expand the technical and intercultural competence.

The project HSM.InternationalER, funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research in the DAAD funding line HAW.International, supports in the sub-project Short-Term.International students with little mobility experience so far by introducing practice-oriented short-term mobilities. The event was organized by Department 1, project coordinator Jana Blochberger and mobility coordinator Kevin Rausch. Special thanks to TEK-UP University for their great support in organizing the event.

Two more events are planned for 2023 to Jan Evangelista Purkyně University Ústí nad Labem in the Czech Republic and to UniKL, Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia. Students can still apply to the call for mobility to UniKL Malaysia.
