Trip to Nuremberg with Ukrainian students

Studierende in Nürnberg

Ukrainische Studierende in Nürnberg

As part of the DAAD Future Ukraine project, ten students traveled to Nuremberg last week for a two-day excursion. The program included a visit to the historic rock cellars, a guided tour of the city and a visit to the Imperial Castle. Student Anna-Lena Abel looked after the Ukrainian students, who learned about the city's eventful history, gained an insight into the red beer brewing tradition and were introduced to the works of Albrecht Dürer. They were also able to visit the Christkindlesmarkt, one of the largest and most beautiful Christmas markets in Germany. The Zukunft Ukraine scholarship program for refugees from Ukraine at German universities is funded by the German Academic Exchange Service with funds from the Federal Foreign Office.
