Now in its third edition, RECRUITERS BACKSTAGE once again gives students an authentic look behind the scenes of the hiring process. This innovative format combines real-world insights, interactive elements, and direct exchange with experienced recruiters.
The workshop is facilitated by Sebastian Halsband, recruiter at ETA Personal, who is leading this session for the third consecutive time. With his expertise in engineering and IT positions, he offers participants a first-hand perspective on what employers in Germany really look for in applicants and how selection processes unfold in practice.
Students will learn how to tailor their applications to German standards, understand how artificial intelligence is shaping modern recruitment, and receive practical advice on how to stand out as an international candidate. The session emphasizes open dialogue and individual feedback, making it a dynamic and practice-oriented experience.
A highlight of the event is the live mock interview with a volunteer participant, followed by collective feedback and discussion — a proven concept that has made this workshop one of the most popular formats among international students.
Workshop topics:
- How recruiters think: insights into selection and evaluation processes
- Practical advice on CVs, cover letters, and online profiles
- The impact of artificial intelligence on recruitment
- Opportunities and challenges for international applicants
- Interactive Q&A with personal feedback
- Live mock interview and group discussion
