Proactive Location-based Services: Today and Beyond

Dr. Sandro Rodriguez Garzon is a senior researcher at the Telekom Innovation Laboratories (Technische Universität Berlin) within the group of Service-centric Networking led by Prof. Axel Küpper, working on Smart City solutions, Industrial IoT and Distributed Ledger technologies.

From 2006 to 2007, he worked as a software engineer for the sd&m AG (Capgemini S.A.) and participated in several software development projects for vehicle manufactures such as Volkswagen and Audi.
From 2007 to 2013 he worked at the Daimler Center for Automotive IT Innovations on the formal specification and contextual personalization of automotive user interfaces within the group of Compiler Construction and Programming Languages of Prof. Peter Pepper.

Since his current research is focused on the conceptual design of context-aware systems and its application within domains such as logistics and mobile citizen participation, he will give a talk about the current state, technical challenges and potential future application areas of proactive location-based services.
